A Crown of Dew | A Moral Story

In a small village nestled deep in the mountains, there lived a young girl named Mei. She was known for her beauty and kindness, and many of the villagers sought her advice and guidance.

One day, while Mei was walking through the village, she stumbled upon a group of travelers who were passing through. They were a strange bunch, with weathered faces and ragged clothes. One of the travelers approached Mei and asked if she knew of a place where they could rest for the night.

Mei, being the kind-hearted girl she was, invited the travelers to stay in her family's home. Her parents welcomed the travelers with open arms, and soon they were all sitting around the fire, sharing stories and laughter.

As the night wore on, Mei noticed that one of the travelers was not like the others. He was quiet and reserved, with a sadness in his eyes that Mei couldn't ignore. She approached him and asked if he was okay.

The traveler, whose name was Huan, confided in Mei that he had lost everything he held dear – his family, his home, and his purpose in life. Mei listened with empathy, and at that moment, she knew what she had to do.

She took Huan to a nearby field, where the morning dew had just settled on the grass. She instructed him to kneel down and close his eyes, and then she began to pluck the dew drops from the blades of grass.

One by one, Mei placed the dew drops on Huan's head, whispering a prayer with each drop. She prayed for Huan to find peace and happiness, for him to discover a new purpose in life, and for him to know that he was not alone.

As Mei placed the final dew drop on Huan's head, a miraculous thing happened. A crown of dew formed on Huan's head, sparkling in the morning sunlight. Huan opened his eyes and looked up at Mei, tears streaming down his face.

He thanked her for her kindness and told her that he felt a sense of hope and renewal that he had not felt in years. From that day on, Huan joined Mei in her efforts to help others in the village, and they became great friends.

The crown of dew became a symbol of hope and renewal in the village, and every year, Mei and Huan would gather the villagers together to pluck the morning dew and place it on the heads of those in need. Mei's act of kindness not only helped Huan find a new purpose in life, but it also brought the village closer together and helped them all to see the beauty in the world around them.
