The Relentless Rush | Navigating a Busy Life

I was thinking that perhaps there were more women than men in this population and they are employed somewhere, but upon asking, I discovered that men are actually more visible in office jobs. However, women are still seen working there.

I was wandering around Huntington's Christiana Mall. The mall was surrounded by a fountain and stores on all sides. The fountain was running and there was a pond underneath where American children were throwing coins. These coins were thrown to help poor and needy people. There were many tables set up near the fountain, and one of them was where I had my grip.

The music store was nearby. The beautiful sound of music was spreading its charm throughout the mall. Despite the crowd of so many people, there was silence and everyone was busy with their own work. There was women's domination in the mall's stores. Beautiful young women were seen along with old and mature women.

Men's clothing stores or shops selling men's shoes were only few and far between. I was thinking that perhaps there were more women than men in this population and they are employed somewhere, but upon asking, I discovered that men are actually more visible in office jobs. However, women are still seen working there.

Tables were set up in the spaces between food and drink stalls on the other side of the mall. Screens were placed on top of these tables for people to watch sports or other entertainment. People were sitting around these tables and enjoying their meals. There were also children playing around.

Children are mesmerized by watching cartoon films. In the large area where food and drink are provided, there is an endless stream of people. Whenever I pass through there, I see people eating pizza, Italian food, Chinese food, and countless other things, as well as stalls selling ice cream and fresh juices and milkshakes. People also eat while shopping and on their way back home. Our sister who knows them well told us that their stove does not burn for many days. They eat breakfast every morning, and on weekends they either cook at home or go on picnics. It is customary for one person to earn and the other four or five members of the family to be dependent on them.

If this area is expensive, then many can afford to eat there. Their children stay with their parents until they are eighteen or twenty years old, and then they become independent and get a job and their own home. In the future, they do not have to save anything for their children and spend on their education and upbringing until they are eighteen or twenty years old. A daughter's wedding is not a burden for them. They bring gifts for the daughter who is getting married, and if the son is not capable of bearing the burden of marriage, they delay his marriage. Although the marriage is based on the preferences of the boy and girl. Both the husband and wife are equal on the property.

The wife would take a brief rest after having her meal on time while the husband would depart for work. One day, I asked an American woman, "Where are your children?" She smiled and replied, "I have a daughter who lives in Canada.

She comes to visit occasionally, but we are so busy that we don't have time to talk on the phone for several days." I inquired, "Doesn't your daughter insist on seeing you?" She answered, "She is busy with her family and life. Her husband also works, and she has a job as well. Everyone is busy in their own life, and there is no time for anyone else." I refrained from asking further as she had already indicated that they were content in their lives, and I didn't want to intrude. Our values differ from theirs. Freedom is the only thing that separates us. There are many qualities in them - honesty, integrity, clarity, and the ability to live carefree in their own world without worrying about anything else.
